Maybe you have to loot a lot things (get a chain of 15 matches) ? I had so many things in that level twice that on the map it was showing I think 6x7 ores so maybe there was in fact even more.

I did it a third time and this time no crash, but on the map I can see I have 35 things from that level, 6x6 minus one corner so maybe it's because I got less stuff.

Indeed, loots like it was caused by 36 item limit. I have made a fix, should not happen again.
